I am 57 years old and have navigated life with the evolving of three neurological disorders: Superficial Siderosis (an ultra-rare neurodegenerative disorder), Epilepsy, and a Congenital Arachnoid Cyst. My journey with resistance training began in 1988, and it has been a vital part of my life ever since. However, it wasn't until my diagnosis of Superficial Siderosis in July 2017 that I truly experienced transformative lifestyle changes.
Since then, I’ve faced a gradual decline in proprioception—impacting my balance, coordination, and overall comfort when standing. Despite these challenges, I have continued to succeed in my personal fitness, gaining invaluable insight into resilience and adaptation in exercise. In addition, I regularly receive recognition from peers for my performance.
My personal experience with health struggles and perseverance sets me apart as a personal trainer. I understand the importance of tailored, mindful training—because I live it. I will elevate you whether you are challenged or unchallenged!
